Our
reputation in the composite laminating field has been built specifically on
the ability to manufacture high quality, lightweight thin walled radomes for
aerospace, surface ship and ground radar, structural housings and pressure resistant
radome assemblies and antennas for underwater use.
The Company essentially has two main departments within the composite laminating area incorporating traditional skills and pre-impregnated techniques.
Traditional Hand Laminating: Within this area we essentially manufacture using polyester, crestomer, epoxy and vinylester resins systems, reinforcing components with various woven materials including 'E' and 'S' glasscloth, Aramid fibre, carbon fibre, quartz and other hybrid products as required by the project. These components can vary from thin walled 'A' sandwich structure using polyurethane, thermoplastic or polymethacrylimide rigid foam to very thick section radomes using vinylester or epoxy and woven glasscloth or quartz.
Additionally, we manufacture pressure proof antennas that will be constructed from epoxy reinforced glasscloth mixed with high crush point foam cores in the production of submarine antennas and various other pressure resistant housings used in the radar and communications industry, specifically for submarines.
Other components manufactured from this method will involve radar radomes for military aircraft and helicopters, SatCom radomes for commercial aircraft, radar and VHF equipment for surface ships.
Pre-Impregnated
Laminating: In this area we manufacture various component structures using
pre-impregnated woven 'E' and 'S' glass, carbon fibre, Aramid fibre, quartz
and incorporate core materials such as paper honeycomb, polyurethane, thermoplastic
and polymethacrylimide rigid foam. These materials would be used in the construction
of various lightweight components such as housings, radar parabolic reflectors,
radomes and various antennas for ultimate use in surface ships, Naval applications,
fixed wing aircraft, helicopters and ground equipment.
